BSA627: How I created my MattePaintings

I started with a sketch of the backgrounds

Then I went to Creative Commons to find some assets as well as getting out a camera to take my own pictures. 

I used these pictures to then mask out what I didn't need. 

I composited these assets together and then used filters and adjustment slayers such as Black and White filter, levels and brightness and Contrast to Help merge the layers in to a more cohesive look rather than cut and paste. 

Once I finished a background I cleaned up the layers and groups before handing the files to Edwin so that he could put the into the composition.
