Assessment Requirements
BSA606 – BODY OF WORK ASSIGNMENT – SEMESTER 2 Students are to produce a Body of Work based on their approved scene analysis proposal. This body of work will involve exploring the techniques that were identified in the scene analysis and applying those techniques to your own original work. You will submit your Body of Work and a Powerpoint Presentation for assessment via Blackboard, then present your findings and the Body of Work to the class in a 10- minute oral presentation (accompanied by your Powerpoint). BLACKBOARD DELIVERABLES Your Body of Work must be submitted as a MP4 file (1920 x 1080, 25fps, progressive scan, stereo audio) by the deadline below. Your Powerpoint Presentation file must be submitted as either a PDF or Powerpoint file by the deadline below. Presentation to include the following – • An introduction • Overview of your proposal from assignment 1 (includes brief overview of director and selected film scene, director’s intentions and importance of the scene to the story) • Discuss the techniques used within analysed scene and how they convey meaning • An overview of your methods, experiments and progress towards incorporating the techniques into your own work • Present your final outcome • Reflection on successfulness of final outcome • Conclusion • APA references Blackboard Deadline: Monday 12th October, 5:00pm. ORAL PRESENTATIONS You will deliver a 10min oral presentation (accompanied by your Powerpoint), presenting your findings and your Body of Work to the rest of the class. This presentation must demonstrate evidence of preparation for potential questions. Class presentations will commence in Week 14 (Tuesday 13th October, 9:00am), concluding in Week 16.
