BSA606-Treatment

It’s a cloudy day today in 1930’s London.  The small bell chime of a shop door is heard as a young cheery girl steps out, a full basket of groceries hanging from her arm. She waves goodbye to the grocer, who smiles back at her as she waves goodbye “Goodbye Annie, Have a safe walk home now!”

Annie walks with a skip in her step as she makes her journey home, waving at passerby's and stopping every now and then to press her face up to shop windows.  Unbeknownst to her, a strange man had been following behind her. He lurked in the shadows, never once stepping into the light.

As the man shrouded in shadows begins to get closer and clearer, the world around Annie turns from the streets of London into an enchanted forest. The forest bares a simple cobblestone path, lined with strange flora and fauna.  Annie, who is still in her own world continues to walk without any care.

Suddenly a strange blur passes across her eyes. To Annie’s delight a small group of pixies are flitting around her.  She laughs as they flit around her, her eyes are full of delight.

The pixies stop their playful antics and begin to frantically pull at her. From the shadows, a tall and intimidating figure appears. As it steps more into the light, its skull head emerges.

Annie, now growing annoyed at the pulling of the pixies starts trying to flick them away. Distracted, she doesn’t notice the large hand that reaches over her shoulder and grabs one of the pixies.

Annie spins around in fright, dropping her basket. Her face falls in shock and fear as she stares into the burning eyes of the grinning skull.

The remaining two pixies grab the hood of her coat and hand, trying to pull her away from the monster. Annie slowly walks backwards, accidently tripping on the discarded basket. She scrambles back before lifting herself up. She turns and starts running, the pixies flying next to her.

There are tears in Annie’s eyes, blurring her vision. She doesn’t notice the stray tree root in the cobblestone path. Her foot catches it as she runs. Falling to the ground, she hits her head.

Her vision fades to black, the last thing she sees in her fading vision is the monster with the grinning skull looming over her as the pixies try to protect her.

Annie later opens her eyes as a blanket is wrapped around her and she is brought in close by someone. A dull but familiar voice talks to her. “Annie......Annie sweetie wake up.” A male's voice is heard in the distance, “Mam, please take her to the ambulance”

Annie feels her weight being lifted from the ground. She looks up to see the grocer, her old face full of worry. The grocer places her gently in the back of the ambulance. “Annie, oh my dear girl” Big fat tears well in Annies eyes, she starts to cry as the grocer pulls her in for a hug.

The sounds of sirens and people become clearer, in the background the strange man from earlier is being arrested and shoved into the back of the police car. The man makes eye contact with Annie, bearing the same eerie grin the grinning skull before his head is forcefully shoved into the back of the car.

The sirens fade away as Annie starts to pass out from fear and shock.

End credits roll, in the background a newspaper showing a mugshot of the strange man is on the front page, the articles heading reads Kidnapper arrested! Life in prison.
