Uncanny valley is one of the many wonders of computer animation. 

There is a fine line between stylitic choice and creepy alsmot realistic characters. 

The Last of Us 2, shows amazingly modeled characters that look super realistic, but they don't look like they are trying to imitate real life. I wonder if this is because it is an interactive game rather than a movie
