PRODUCTION DIALOGUE
Recorded on set or location to be properly mixed in post production
Sound Recorder is not always the person holding the microphone. Would be hard to concentrate on keeping the mic at an appropriate level and checking audio levels.
ADR
Used where production audio is to noisy or unusable. Dialogue is recorded in a recording studio where in actor can records lines in sync.
SOUND EFFECTS
Backgrounds/Ambiance/Atmosphere
FOLEY
Natural sounds like footsteps, prop movement, cloth rustling.
All foley is recorded in sync with the picture
MUSIC
Score-Underscore prepared by a composer
